VII. Infinite Love
Each moment is a blessing
Despite what turmoil it may bring
The heart must be pounded
To beat out the dust
To transcend the lust
And sexual desire
The white lotus flower
Planted by Him
Ever sustainable
Temptation cannot win
For I have held this for you
And now you are waiting
I am not blind to your wisdom
I am not immune
To your distanced love
I know of your secrets
And you know of mine
Where our journey takes us
Is only Divine
And meaningless in the presence
Of this Infinite Love of the Soul
VIII. Fantasy
Each moment I spent with you
Could’ve been our last
You’ve turned away
And you’re facing the past
But now I’m alone in reality
Wondering if you were a fantasy
Was it too good to be true
Or am I in love with you?
What will it take
For you to come through
And show me this is not imaginary
IX. Too many times
To acknowledge my existence
To communicate with courage
To meet me in truth, as a human
It is easy to hide behind walls of light
In the potential of our Souls
But bringing it to fruition is the challenge
And I’ve been left to face it alone
Too many times
The walls I broke down for you have resurrected
How many years I spent smashing those bricks
Would it be easier not to know?
The belly ache of grief
A reminder that you made a choice
That led you away from me
X. Did you not?
What am I to do?
No trace of your love
My vulnerability hanging in the mist
Emptiness of a darker sort
Lack of courage
To bring through this love
But did you not pray for it like me?
Did you not?
Lost to you
You are not fighting for me
And so I am drifting further from your heart
XI. Cherry tea
My heart is lost without you
So how much of it
Had I given away?
This melancholic day
With the sweet smell of flowers
And cherry tea
The little boy dances
Yet I sit here in sorrow
How can so much pain
Arise from an absence of love?
My chest is full
But not as it has been
At any moment
The lump in my throat
Might erupt like a fountain
If my heart is empty
I have made it that way
How do I return to me
When my body is consumed with longing?
XII. Dos Amores
What have I become?
A hopeless romantic
I wait for you
At the fountain of two lovers
I kid myself
There is another purpose
I must detach
Dissolve
This won’t do me any good
Our silence is golden
A chance to find the place
In my heart
That is Love
You simply reflect
What is there in my own
